Once the wheels are boxed,weighed & measured,try contacting Greyhound bus.If they have room in the belly of a bus from him to you,the fee is minimal,just pick up at a depot near you.I did this with a station lighter recently.
Also try http://www.unishippers.com They take bids from truckers running a similar route,and if they have room,they submit their lowest bid to unishippers. Unishippers is a really great network,that takes bids from drivers looking to supplement their income. I was quoted $320 to have a gas pump shipped to me ~via Roadway over 10 days. Unishippers found a local trucker running the same route from the pump to my house for $85,taking just 3 days. |
