Here's a bit of info off the net...not sure what's true or where the carafes are made?.

Coffee Brewers made outside China:

Aero Press - U.S.
Bodum - Mostly Europe, but check individual model
Braun - Czech Republic and Germany
Bunn-O-Matic - U.S. and Canada
Chemex - Germany and Taiwan
Eva Coffee Brewer - Denmark
Krups (Moka model) - France, discontinued by still widely available
Melitta 10-cup manual - made in Canada
Technivorm - Holland
