Default Dana Chevrolet business card...pretty cool!

This image was provided to me from member Dave Lindsley...

In Dave's own words:

Attached is a copy of a business card a friend of mine gave me about 7+ years ago. I thought the guys on the SYC site might find it interesting and was hoping you might post it for me.

The card is for a Ken Bilbee who was the service manager of the Hi-Performance Division. The info on the back regarding the front end alignment/$ cost is cool as it has as per Dick Guldstrand and dated 6-21-67.

Later Buddy,
Dave L.

pretty aggressive REAR specs assuming a solid rear axle

IF for a Corvette, that is pretty much the standard fare for a GOOD autox alignment, EXCEPT rear toe OUT (it is bass ackwards for ANY car, it needs to be toe IN for the rear), that is NOT the fast way around ANY course, ever ...

Dick told me that he recommended a toe-out for autocrossing or road racing as that spec would allow the tire to make a better footprint when entering a corner.

Those specs would not work on the street, as the car would pull too hard either to the right or the left, depending on the surface or the grooves on the road.

I actually tried his specs once on one of my Corvettes. I barely made it home from the alignment shop!! Had to have the toe-in placed back into the car. My mechanic at that time had no problems with it and he was more than happy to take care of the situation.

Really cool card!

that is slightly correct, it has to be in the front and it helps the car "turn-in"

the alignment specs listed on the card are backward

toe OUT in the front, toe IN in the rear

I have been autocrossing Corvettes for decades, trust me

the way he wrote the alignment is BASS ackwards

the card IS cool though, even cooler seeing he wrote it backwards

maybe it was for a competitor?
