I would have thought that if the engine was mis-stamped, that the POP would have shown the incorrect mis-stamp not what should have been correctly stamped on the engine? They pulled the actual numbers off of the car for the POP, didn't they? Ed

I think that's the original motor.
But I don't think that seat tag goes with this car. This car has standard belts from what I see. ZK3 is deluxe belts.

Thanks Kurt. I am sure it is the original motor. I seem to attract odd block stampings. Who else could come up with a 1 owner unmolested 69 T/A with a Camaro vin on the block.

BTW I grew up in Ypsilanti and still have family and friends all over there.

Yup, lived in Ypsi for 15 years. Always heard the planes coming into Willow Run. Not much farther away now, but we must be out of the flight path...

I lived more in the country. I graduated from Lincoln High School in 1986.

We cleaned up the car some today and it does appear to be a repaint. Looks like old lacquer with some shrinkage but I still can't find tape lines. Still very solid and straight. A few bubbles around the rear window. We are going to start getting it ready to run tomorrow. I will get undercarriage photos then. Sharp car regardless.
