Someone else's cool '69, I think it went for $100K

That's all for Friday's stuff. We have 13 cars to run through today.

How did the '70 L78 Camaro fair?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it sold for $62,000. I was just looking at pictures of my old L78 which was Norwood built and my old car's engine stampings look quite different from this car.

In the first picture of this set was a 69 camaro with flames in the stripes. Can anybody tell what it sold for?

The engine compartment in that R/T Charger is just mind-numbing in details! Absolutely incredible! But yeah, that 1970 L-78 Camaro does have a strange deck stamp. Look at how close to the cylinder head the Tonawanda stamp is. It's WAY to close to the cylinder head and I know that there's no way that was stamped while assembled as a long block. That short block was stamped first and then the heads were installed and that's not how Tonawanda did it.

But that is how Tonawanda stamped all big blocks. Due to the plug in the end of the BB head.

That is typical location for BB stamping and Kurt is correct.
