The L-88 and ZL-1 engines had a fantastic lubrication system that to this day is one of the best ever designed and there is actually very little that can done to improve it. Stick with the GM factory matched parts with some Mobil One synthetic oil and that's about as good as it gets. If there's any problem, it's usually because someone didn't follow the GM Power Parts specifications and thought they could improve something that can't be improved upon!
