Default Searching for Trans-Am

Does anyone know how I would go about trying to locate a 1980 Trans-Am that was purchased by my father new?

If you have the VIN you may be able to find someone to run it for you.

Also if you have the Vin, documents are available from GM Canada Vintage Services for almost all '77 and newer F-Body cars regardless of where built or the location of dealers they were shipped to new...YES US delivered cars too!.
