If it had an aluminum intake, it was added afterward. The 73 Z28 was the first Z28 to come from the factory with a cast iron intake and Q-jet.

Thanks Bill....I keep learning...I wouldn´t doubt it...It definitely it had a holley also, so I guess that was not original too. I remember he had one of them round ´motion´style air cleaners at one point too. I wish we still were in contact with my friend so I could ask him about the car. I am sure he remembers better than me. I was going to college in Florida at the time, so I only got to see /ride in the car during x-mas break and the summers. But, I spent many days/nights in the cold in that car when it was not even running...while it was sitting in front of my friend´s house waiting for repairs. It was our beer drinking/partying spot...He was just a pizza delivey guy so sometimes he had to save a few weeks just to keep the car on the road.
