Me neither Randy. It says "MUNCIE" on the side too. When the shifter is back near the bench for the 2 and 4 shifts the handle sits nicely above the bench (not in the bench). I am interested if anyone else has seen this kind of shifter handle - haven't researched it.

Don't know its weight Rusty. I spoke to the original owner in the last couple months and he still swears that the 300s were "200 lbs lighter" than the Malibu Chevelles. He says that is one of the reasons he scoped these 300s out (he also liked the savings in price too!). I find it hard to believe that a 300 would save that much. My black L78 Malibu Chevelle is optioned nearly identical to my L78 300 Chevelle. Guess I could compare those two and we'd have an answer.
Let me see what I can do.

My brother restored a '64 or '65 Wildcat 425 4 speed that had a factory shifter a lot like that.
