Torque is the other thing that pushes a car down the road. You guys have light years more experience than I do, but you do have to factor in the torque numbers to be fair, when judging an engine. Then there is the weight difference between a small block chevy and this 6 that works back into the equation. It the larger 6 option motor (not the 230). So I know the stock rating was 155hp not 140. Maybe this car weighs in under 3000 lbs.

time will tell if this is all bs (as it is fasinating). Car still sits as it did in 1971. It was not mid 13s, to be exact, it was 13.89 as best time, one time. Car must have ran 14 on the other times. He has a big trophy from US30 and I have to help him go through tons of paper to find the time slips for it.
