The caps are metal and based upon the picture they are the early Appliance because of the very rounded curvature lip of the caps. Later Appliance had a sharper lip. I had a set of these a few years back but sold them..I will try to find the pics. Here are the earlier ones you can tell they match the caps in the side profile shot of your car. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attac...mp;d=1310423299 |

360260786413 You can find almost anything on ebay. I see the indent on the caps.

Lee </div></div> Lee those caps are not correct. Looks like they are for a r/v/truck mag wheel. See the pic I posted above. |

Lee </div></div> Lee, those would work if you find them but they are the later style with the sharper outer edge I referred to earlier. Yours had the earlier rounded edge I posted above in a pic. |

Here is an Appliance mag with the later style sharper edge cap. You can note the low profile kidney bean shaped slot holes.
Appliance had large lug recesses but had a special lug that fill up that void and they were extra long on the hex head portion of the lug so they stuck out and looked like a regular mag wheel once installed. The problem you will find is these Appliance lugs are extinct/obsolete. You can use a standard mag lug that are available today but they don't fill the hole right and just poke out of the lug hole just slightly and it looks odd...one reason today Appliance mags are not real sought after. People know something is just not right when they look at them with the newer lugs. The wheels and caps are plentiful and cheap due to the lug nut dilemna. That is a shame too because Appliance mags were one of the better wheels made and used high quality aluminum http://media.photobucket.com/image/a.../Photo0113.jpg |

Whitetop......what is your name? I could not have paid for a more knowledgeable person on these rims. Looks like I will go to a plan B rim unless I can find a complete set with lugs. I love this site and probably could have used some of the brain power when I was restoring my w-30 olds.

The last set I had said Appliance, Van Nuys, Ca cast right in the back.
I think I have some of the lugs you are talking about. Real big hex head on them? |

I think a set of 14 x7 Americans or Ansens would look fine on your car. I had a set of Appliance 14 x7's on ebay at one time for something like $60 with no takers. Ended up selling the caps to an ebay guy who PM me after the auction and the wheels went in a local free bee newspaper and the guy bought them for a utility trailer he was making. |
