I've owned my chevelle longer than any other car, my brain thinks in terms. I think the door structure may hold clue, but that is my logic. You have to give guys working on the cars when they were new some credit

Long before the word "generation" was used to describe these cars, the 62-65 were the "box" Novas. The 66-67 were definitely NOT in that category. (and this was WAAAYY before Steve's Nova site and Algores Internet)
Is the line a little blurry? maybe. I can leave the anal exacto stuff for the C123+ guys. |

The whole generation discussion is stupid. If you follow the way "Steve's Nova Site" divides it up, which I do not, the gens should be as follows. 62-65=1st 66-67=2nd 68-72=3rd 73-74=4th and 75-79=5th. If they are going to make 66 & 67 a generation then the 73 & 74 should also be a generation.

That's just a disclaimer added to the site when Steve sold it to the new company that owns a few hundred other internet forums... It's lawyer talk. Kinda like "don't drink your battery acid". Sorry Paul , It's 62-65, 66-67, 68-74 and then the disco years 75-79. Tommy [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/ ![]() |

Tommy, when I worked at the Chevrolet Dealer in 1969, 62 to 67 were all GROUPED together, today I don't know how Chevrolet grouping them.

I don't know how Chevrolet Motor Division or General Motors in general 'classified' their products, and really don't care. The true 'enthusiasts' who really know the cars (such as Tommy, Marlin and others), and people who 'talk cars' with actual knowledge will definitely put the 66 & 67 in their own category.
Let the opinions continue.
