My grandfather worked the overhead crane at the Ford plant in Mahwah NJ back in the 60's. He had a 1965 Galaxie Custom 500.
I have his Owner Card and would love to see if this car is still alive: 5E52C150533 5 - 1965 E – Mahwah 52 – Ford 4 Door Sedan Custom 500 C – 8 289 4bbl Number of car – 150533 54B X 39 16M 15 1 6 54B – 4 Door Sedan X – Burgandy 39 – Palomino and Med. Palomino Vinyl 16M – Dec 16th 15 – Newark District 1 – 3:00 to 1 axle 6 – C4 Auto Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on how I can try and track it down. Oh, and on the other side of the family .... I know who owns my son's great grandfather's (wife's grandfather)convertible Mustang 298. Car is supposedly in mint original condition. Will try and get a few pictures of that one posted on here

1) try getting hold of a few Ford car clubs in your area and ask them.
2) if you have a close friend or relative in law enforcement, they could trace the V.I.N.. 3) Close friend or relative in the insurance business could possibly trace car too. 4) Put an ad in local Craigslist looking for car 5) If your grandfather is still alive, find out who he sold car to and try and trace that person 6)give up and buy yourself a brand new mustang!

I would agree with the above except Craigs List.
if using craigs list I would recommend a seperate email address and not listing a name or phone number. Craigs list is home to more spammers and scammers than legitimate buyers and sellers |
