Chuck,

The person who purchased this L89 Camaro with the bill of sale, protecto-plate and certified trim tag, is going to be quite disappointed given you posted that the car is fake based on your "nameless" friend's review of the tag. I don't know if your post was necessary or appropriate. JMO, Ed

The new owner should be disappointed & will be very disappointed when the truth comes about this car!

Car was "high bid" to $130K, so unless it was sold after the auction block, this car has not changed hands.

Sam:

The Mecum website shows the car sold for $103,000.00

Thanks Ed. Did not see that. Looks like a deal was made after the auction.

After reading through the thread a few times I only see a picture of trim tag that shows X66 and read X66 in one of the descriptions as well.

Where is the L89 with the X11 tag that was changed to X22? Two different L89 cars being discussed or perhaps just a typo?

I am confused.......

I thought the same thing - X11/X22/X66?? - I am not a Camaro guy so much - thought it was just me......

There was a well known Orange X11 convertible which was transformed into a documented numbers matching L89, a while back.

There was a Lemans Blue Black L89 Clone and a Silver L89 clone done here in Chicago, but the colors don't match this one.

The info is already getting butchered up, X11 to X22......when this Camaro has an X66 tag.

So what is the straight scoop?
