This is a 12 bolt 3.73 positraction rear end out of a 1970 Camaro Z28. This rearend along with the engine and trans were pulled out of a 1970 Z28 that was wrecked in the 70s. The gentleman who pulled the parts was building a 55 Chevy and wanted the drivetrain for his car. He got as far as removing the spring perches in order to install ones for the 55. This rearend is in excellent condition. There is no pitting and most inspection markings are still intact. The casting number is 3969341 and the casting date is B 5 0. The assembly stamping is as clear as the day it was stamped and reads C OZ 0309G1 E. The ring gear is stamped 3862525 11 41 2 70. The internals look excellent as shown. This rearend is complete minus brake drums and some brake hardware. One ebrake cable is frayed and needs to be replaced.
$1650 The standard bore shortblock out of the same car will also be available shortly. Thanks, Jason |
