I can't find a picture quickly to illustrate, but the disc brake wheels have a flat rim behind the face of the wheel to allow clearance for the caliper. The drum brake wheel has a step about half way to the rear lip which interferes with the caliper.
Can you post a picture of the backside of the wheel? I am interested if they are disc wheels as I converted my '67 to front discs. |
