Default 70 Mustang Boss 429 KK2131

A friend of mine bought this car at the recent Mecum auction in Houston. Grabber Blue, white interior, recently restored at Mid-Cities Mustangs in Dallas TX. Just curious if anyone has any prior knowledge regarding this car, good or bad Thanks in advance

Check out the Boss 302 Exchange forum. I think they keep a database of the B9 cars. http://www.boss302.com/smf/index.php

40 years ago I owned a 1970 BOSS-302, lovers, spoilers, hood scoop etc.

The car had WHITE interior...the only one I ever saw. It also was this metallic aqua color that I've never seen on any other BOSS Mustang. While researching the BOSS colors there was ONE (1) car listed some strange blue color but since I have no photos of the data plate I cannot verify yay/nay. I do have some 35mm Kadachrome slides I plan to have converted to digital later this year so I can post them in a attempt to find out if it was the only one.

Anybody ever see a BOSS-302 with WHITE factory interior?

White is not super common but they made plenty. I have owned a Calypso Corral and Grabber yellow with White interior.
The special paint cars are hard to document because Kevin Marti's imaging does not call out the code. the buck tag and build sheets on say SPCL. You need to actually locate the color on the car and it can be verified. Most special paint cars are typically Lincoln and Merc colors and some are Fleet colors

I once saw a '70 special ordered Gulfstream Aqua. It has to be the classiest Boss I've ever seen.

Agreed very striking color with the graphics. They made 9 Dark aqua metallic Paint, Ford#3065-A. It was a T Bird color and not considered a special paint. Here is a great reference chart on B2 colors.

Finally got to see this car (the Grabber blue/white interior Boss 429 that my friend bought) in person a week ago today. Got to sit in it and fire it up.....sounds great. For sure, the restoration is lacking in a few very small details, and driveabilty issues need to be addressed, but my friend has a plan to remedy all this Overall, a beautiful car indeed.
