amazing ID by a PY member. This was just out back sitting under a semi trailer in a dock in the back of the building. Makes you wonder what else is lying around this place.

This was a great opportunity to support the Norwood retirees and have access to a possible once-in-a lifetime collection of historical GM cars. The production cars were high quality and nice to see but the ability to see concept & experimental cars is at the top of the scale.

Are the cars on display, original and unrestored cars that never left GM or are they restorations that people loan to the museum for display?

I can speak for at least two that I inspected. Both were restored and looked nice but were not very correct.

There is a mix of everything. Some untouched and nice, some restored correctly and some restored not-so correctly but still a nice car. Only saw a few production cars that never left/never registered.

Very nice! I wish I could've made the trip. Maybe next time if the opportunity presents itself.

We might have a chance again next year. This trip was made by the GM Alumni Club. There were some UAW Local 674 personnel aboard the bus but just a few to test the water so to speak. If there is interest from you guys in sponsorship of another trip, there are plenty of Norwood personnel who either could not go this last time or could not go due to space limitations on the single bus that was chartered.
GM even handed out goody bags, with diecast F bodies when the bus arrived. All reports have been 100% positive on the trip, what a great time-- |
