Good call on the BFG Radial TA's. They are old but not late 80's. I think I got them in the mid 90's. I guess I should upgrade them? They have either been on one of my cars or stored in plastic in a cool dark environment.

I think I would. The tire industry advises against keeping radials around for more than 10 years, regardless of if they look new or not. If you do some searching on the net, you can find stories of people having treads peel on perfectly new looking tires, and damaging 1/4 panels, etc. In my opinion, it's not worth the risk of screwing up a panel (or worse) on a beautiful car like that over $500-600 of rubber. |
