Or maybe not at all... still waiting for pics of the 200 mile original Yenko. That one will show up any day now too.

If the owner was a close friend with someone that would step up and pay $201,000 for the car, then he surely wouldnt have given anyone else an option for under $100,000. This doesn't add up... I'm tuning out of this thread. Thanks for the tall tale.

Like 1qwks said,

TBSS --- Totally Bull Shit Story!!!!

Really hope he enjoyed his 15 minutes in the spotlight. He also stated that the car is truly his dream car as he is a camaro enthusiast and
lifelong Chevrolet fanatic. He would have known the answers to all of his question already.

And this would be the reason I've been a "read only" member for the past few months. Every single time someone like myself (a novice or less knowledgeable entity) comes on here to ask a question, share an experience, gather information, or even simply relate a story and request your thoughts, you folks rip them a new one. It's disheartening really when the experts in the field are unapproachable. You folks have been chasing these dreams for decades in most cases, and most of you have fulfilled those dreams. But, are you trying to tell us that during those decades, your heart has never "skipped a beat" at the mention of "a Chevy in a barn," a "Yenko in a field," a "guy down the street says...," "my uncle told me..." You're full of some very choice BS if your answer is no. How about giving the novices a little break? Even if it turns out to be bad information in the end, how exactly does that hurt you? Are you trying to tell me that these stories can't happen anymore? How about I get you guys all riled up again? I have SEEN a Black '69 Yenko Camaro from the street that purportedly has never been altered and has been inside that garage since '71, according to the owners "friend." Bending over now.............

Okay...yes I knew it would be valuable...yes I know you're all butt hurt...I received a call from my father (someone that has no reason to lie to me whatsoever) telling me he had first rights to the car...and that he wasn't sure if the guy knew what he had or not...clearly if he didn't know he found out...there was no tall tale and 15 minutes in the spotlight? It's an online forum there's no spotlight here...I'm done defending myself over this...I came here for some information and to find true rarity level of a vehicle to this effect...some of you were helpful whereas most have been assholes for lack of a better term...i might have been a little over zealous, but if I was it was just because it's a dream car and I still couldn't believe there was an opportunity for me to own one and with the criteria I was told I thought it might have been feasible.....and tbss is trailblazer ss...

Fwiw...I'm a member on a few other forums, tbssowners & performancetrucks.net, I've never been treated like this on a forum...I'm assuming just based on the model of vehicle that this forum represents that the user base would be in the 40+ age range....crazy to know that the younger generation that represents the other two forums I'm a member of are more willing to actually help someone when they have questions

For what it is worth. The normal skeptics got very skeptical when the only pic you posted was of a Yenko clone that is for sale on the internet. A picture of the real car and it's vin would be a perfect way to silence the skeptics and maybe get a apology out of them.

All the poster needed to do was verify the VIN against the registry. Instead the claims continually changed from "can pick it up for less than 6 figures" to "just wanted to verify my evaluation of a $225,000+ price tag" to "sold for 201,000 he knows he could've gotten much more but apparently is personal friends with the guy and can visit the car whenever he'd like".

Why get it appraised and undersell the car? The selling price doesn't fit this claim, "It's a yenko 100% original numbers matching never restored". And it also doesn't fit the prices associated with a clone. In his very fist post he noted that it could be picked up for 6 figures and he has the first rights to the car. Yet in his 4th post he states this, "just wanted to verify my evaluation of a $225,000+ price tag". So, some of us skeptics saw an opportunity for a potential buyer to purchase a unrestored 69 Yenko Camaro for under $100,000 (when the poster estimated it's value at $225,000) and watched it fall apart after all these brazen claims and we weren't allowed to be suspicious that it's all fabricated?

I'd be willing to wager we never see the VIN or a TRUE picture of the assumed car. The poster will cry sour grapes and that will be the end of it. Apologize for being skeptical about a poster who wavered as much as he did? No.

K...profile is filled out (hopefully it's up to everyone on this site's standards) and I will reiterate...once I have the vin and pictures I WILL post them...I'm a rather busy individual and I assure you I don't have time to waste let alone waste others time...and just like anything else on the internet...just becauske you read something and it bothers you doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it...I had believed I had found a personal dream car but hadn't received all of my information accurately...if this post offends you that much...feel free to not read it anymore...I know I won't lose any sleep if you choose to go that route
