hello,im kinda new to this site .i bough a 71 s.s. nova 6 months ago and its abit of a mystry to me yet. it was delivered to arrmon r smith in york on 9/9/70 the vin number is 114271w117254 its set up for and appears to be a big block nova car. heater etc.but none were made in 71? could this be a left over 70? the previous owner who is deceased used to live close to me. he always said it was a yenko.but i know its not.he bought it thru a reletive of his many years ago and built a 427 stroker motor for it and died,it was stored for 7 years.i purchased it from his widow for $4000 i would just like to know if you can tell by the serial number what motor came in the car.everyone who looked at the car says its defi etly a big block nova. thank you.
