Default Chrome diff covers

When did chrome differential covers arrive on the scene, would one be correct for our '69 Nova 'Day 2' build?

Chrome differential covers were around since the 1950's. Def. correct for Day 2 though I liked the finned aftermarket covers more.

Ok, thanks. The finned versions are bringing crazy money, so we will likely go with a chrome unit - for now....

I usually get $135 for a finned cover. Didn't think that was crazy money. Chrome cover is like $15 from Mr. Gasket though.

That's not a bad price Matt, I was seeing them on various sites for over $200 and thought I'd just toss a chrome one on if it fits the period. Benjamin said he doesn't care, he just wants to hear it run - me too son, me too!

I am running a gold Moroso which are nice as they have a drain plug.

They were available in the early 70's.

Nice, used ones are reasonable but NOS ones usually bring over $100.
