That bugs me to no end. There's probably more resources about restoring Chevelles and Camaros than any other car and yet people continue to get this wrong. I attend shows locally and all over the country and I would guess 90% of the Cowl-induced cars I've seen (some six-figure restoration cars) have their seal install incorrectly (upside down/inside out). I have tactfully mentioned this to people only to see their car again at a later date still uncorrected. Long ago I installed a cowl induction setup on a friends '69 Camaro SS and noticed the reproduction seal out of the package was 'inside out' (probably the way it came out of the mold). Once I reversed it I was able to install it correctly. I'm not sure if this is why so many are wrong. Sorry for the 'vent' It just always bothered me.
