Re: NOS Chevy "factory high performance" 307 engine?
Sorry it was a few years back on the 427 about the time I purchased the LS7's. They were before I had a cell phone with a camera. lol I do have a pic of where one of those wound up.

Re: NOS Chevy "factory high performance" 307 engine?
I know where Chevy found the extra 45 HP in these 307's An nice set of 186 heads. The engine casting dates are June and July of 1970.

Re: NOS Chevy "factory high performance" 307 engine?
The casting marks on the end did't look like 186 markers. I guess these are 1.94 valves too since a 2.02 needs a bigger bore. It is an interesting combination!

Re: NOS Chevy "factory high performance" 307 engine?
Those look like 185 heads, which would be correct for a '69 200hp 307. 69cc chambers, 1.72/1.50 valves. Not a performance head. I'm guessing the extra hp was from the Q-jet and intake + *maybe* a cam??

Interesting that this motor is equipped with the blue paint push rods. That's some factory HP stuff right there.
