Stock LS3 engine with stock exhaust manifolds and a CAI.
First Run is base line with "canned" tune as provided by aftermarket Vendor. The canned tune was so far off we could even bring the engine to redline. Run number six, the car is smooth as silk to redline, with a safe AFR, putting down some VG power. ![]() ![]() |

Not too rain on anyones parade, but that 63' just took a big dive in value ... JMHO ... I hope there is more to this story as to the reason for installing an LS engine. Was the original engine (if available) retained in case someone wanted to return in to stock or was it long-gone? TAZ

LOL...Looks like you were exactly trying to rain on his parade. Also JMHO but the car is probably worth more with the mods I see versus a Non FI 63.

I guess time will tell -- when it comes to the 63' Vette (I had a black rag-top in the past), I think they have more value in stock (not necessary concourse) shape ... but I still cringe when seeing these mods. But to each their own ... TAZ

Nice crisp lines on that car. Best of both worlds.

Have you checked the restomod market lately? Good ones at auction far exceed stock restored prices. You old folks want the looks of the old stuff but modern tech and road/driving feel...and dem baby boomers will pay for it! Nice build, by the way |

I'm just sayin' it looks like it was plucked from NCRS -- from classic to restomod ... I guess all of the baby boomers can't appreciate classic iron. But again -- it isn't mine so to each their own. Besides, looking at the quality of work that is accomplished by the Nickey folks -- that 63' COULD be returned to its original condition if it is ins it future. Still remains a beautiful 63' ...
