Default 1969&1970 Chevrolet L78 Novas: Was A/C an Option?

1/13/2017

Is there a good Nova site and did GM offer air conditioning as an
option with 1969 and 1970 L78 Novas? If I wanted a stock L78 Nova (w/original drivetrain,
sheetmetal panels, and GM documentation) who would I go to and what site (s)
would I go to (I know this is a good site, but is there a Nova-specific site?)?. Thank you,

Fred Gustat

This is a fairly good site from what I have seen.
http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/

As far as A/C, that was never offered on a solid lifter engine other than a couple Corvette options as far as I am aware. On a Nova, Camaro or Chevelle, never in 69-70.

Parts book does Not support BB/AC combination in Novas... not even hydraulic cammed 396's.

I am under the understanding that air conditioning was available on the hydraulic cammed 396 in the Nova.

I think GM didnt put A/C on any solid lifter V-8 car because it would have interfered to much with adjusting the valves.

But why on the 350/hp L-34 hydraulic motor?
