Default '68 Chevelle SS396...the importance of a good garage roof

Don't store your Chevelle project in a leaky garage...wow. Obviously there's more going on that just damp storage, but hard to know where would you'd even start on this thing.

I am curious what could have happened to require the big stick weld on the inner fender.

What was the purpose back then to coil the brake lines like that?

As far as I know it was to prevent the brake lines from cracking due to vibrations or body and frame flexing.
