It looked like the classic auction scenario of two people wanting it, badly! It just kept going on and on. At one point the auctioneer yelled out "Go find some of that material (mod top) we're gonna put it on all of the cars!"

The guy that won it was the same guy that got all of the cut-away engines too, among other things.

I was thinking , I don't remember seeing that sign at Yenko

I think Yenko Chevrolet had some neon signs in the windows but was well before 1968 when that emblem came out

Ed was who told Steven to start collecting all that stuff. We are talking paper materials etc. The stuff that gets thrown away. He didn't really care about neon signs etc because they last forever where the paper stuff falls apart, gets tossed etc. Steven then went on to spending years crawling thru dealership attics etc.
