First it's so hard from a picture so take that into consideration. Crooked JE looks like artificial aging And the beach Mark's don't look consistently parallel to the crank

Is it possible to get a pic from as straight on as possible? I'm wondering if the gang stamped numerals are aligned but stamped at an angle relative to the pad.

When I get the car home this weekend I will clean the pad and take better pictures.

Every plant has its own stamps so to compare a Nova stamp to a Corvette stamp doesnt matter. The same plants could have changed through out the year, so comparing to yours would be of no value

On Corvettes I believe they had a separate gang set up for each build code. A Tonnawanda built 390, 400, and 435 built on the same day could have different type numbers. For example I collect 390 horse stamps built on May 3rd, 1967 (T0503IL) because I have a car with an unusual stamp from that day. A T0503JE or T0503JC stamp may use slightly different 0's, 3's or 5's.

Went and got the car yesterday cleaned the pad. The stamp looks much better the E is not crooked the camera shot makes it look crooked. The car has its original drive train
