It might be easy to imagine shooting a movie as something of a luxury. But according to producer Frank Marshall, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first Indiana Jones film, was shot in “Tunisia, in 130 degrees for six weeks and we had three days left. We were supposed to shoot this huge fight between the whip and the sword.”

The previous nearly month and a half of filming seemed to have taken its toll on the film’s star, Harrison Ford. Rather than spend an additional three days shooting yet another physical fight scene, Ford simply pulled out his prop gun and pretended to shoot his adversary. As Marshall described it, “After lunch we did three shots…and it’s the biggest moment of the movie.”

I owned this car for 20 something years before I sold it to milt. was probably the nicest kept one made. interior didn't look like it was ever sat in. shifter felt brand new. ran and drove like new. would literally boil the tires thru first 3 gears and lay down a good patch in 4th. but original owner color changed it when new. it had more documentation than any car I have ever owned. even had a picture of it when it was rolled off the transport truck and had not been dealer prepped yet. it is one that I do miss.

here is a "picture of the picture" taken with my cell phone of the car the day it was unloaded off the transport truck new. notice it doesn't even have the center caps on it yet. no license tag put on either. got to love it delivered in the snow.

another thing I love about the picture new. I love to get under the skin of the car show judges now days who count off for items. how many points would be deducted for the trunk lid not lining up with the quarter panels and the terrible door to fender gap and the door to quarter gap at the bottom.

This is the very first 1970 Challenger T/A to roll off the production line. It has an auto trans and 3.91 rear.
