Default 1969 Z28 exhaust

My brother Joe has a RS Z/28 that he purchased in 1987 or 1988. Original 32,000 mile Norwood car from Missouri with a 11C ('68) date on it. It still has original CS paint with black stripes and interior. When he purchased it someone had installed headers and aftermarket dual exhaust. When he upgraded the damaged headers and rusty crude exhaust, he asked me what those things hanging over the axle were. I told him j-hooks and that the car came from the factory with chambered exhaust. He put a repro chambered exhaust back on it with Hooker 2131 super comp headers hooked up. I think the car does not even have 35,000 miles on it now.
