Reasons such as this are why I love survivors with their chips and other imperfections, if something were to occur it will be no worse than what the car has endured previously.

Thinking back... I have to attribute the cultivation of my auto insanity to the rides I had in Musclecars from the time I was born. My mom's car when expecting me and I came home from the hospital in was a 68 442 coupe White over Blue, there were all kinds od cars around all the time, but the next car was a Big block 2nd gen camaro and then I remember the 9k mile 440 six pack superbird at 10-11 years old I will never forget with me shotgun my dad videotaping in the center of the rear and his cousin driving. 110 down the 4 lane black top, every time it hit the next gear the video went from out the front glass to views of the headliner!

I will have to find the photo of me with my baby blanket at about 3 years old taking screws out of the inside of a 1940 Ford.
Meeting my dad with a handfull of screws from everything in the house I could reach was his penance for teaching a 3 year old to use a screw driver!

This is also what I love about reproduction parts (albeit the best you can get)... if something happens, worst case is send another check to OER... now, exterior paint on the other hand....
