Stamping is legit. Most likely out of a Norwood car if the VIN is not stamped on the pad. Casting date of L 6 8 translates to Dec 6, 1968

Partial VIN will be down in the rough casting on the side of the block by the oil filter.
Take a look and see what you got

Thank you. I need to get a better picture of that date code, may be a 5 and not a 6. It may take me a few weeks to get around to this...it's tucked away in a crate.
