I've had my 67 Camaro for 25 years now and as a teenager, I made the mistake of cutting the dash and putting an aftermarket stereo in it. I was searching hemmings today and came across a 67 Camaro that was an all original car that had this dash panel in it. I'd like to remove my radio and replace it with a panel like this since I haven't listened to the radio in the car for the last 15 years. After some searching, I found this plate, which is a reproduction of what the factory used. How is it attached to the actual dash panel? Glued in place?

Been a while since I had mine off, but there should be 2 screws at the very bottom and then slide it up a little to disengage the hook strap at the top. You may need to remove the ash tray bracket too.

That is a really interesting pic. Base car with column shift, radio delete, but A/C and power windows...

----It would be a good thing to see the backside as there may be a bracket attached with a couple of screws that holds it on. There was on my 67 442!....Bill S

There is a plastic bracket at the top, Bill, but the top edge of the panel slides down into it.

Thanks for the info! I am specifically wondering how the delete panel attaches to the actual dash panel? I've replaced the larger center panel twice actually. I learned something new about 67s today when I saw this car with the radio delete panel so it has me intrigued as to how it is fastened in place.

I thought you were going to buy the repro face plate. The one in the pic appears to be all one panel too. But, if it is just a separate delete plate, it would have studs that go thru the stem holes with washers/fasteners on the backside.

WHY do people take pics of cars in a dark garage ????? Too dark and not a good angle to determine if that is a 1 piece face panel or a separate delete panel.

It's been a long time since I've had a radio block off plate but I seem to remember 2 large piloted washers that came in from the back side of the dash panel.....Joe
