Old thread but if you’re still on the case Ryan, here’s an 02/69 Denooyer Chevrolet Ad for a ‘69 ‘Velle L78 w/ Aluminum Heads noted that may be the subject ‘Jenks’ L89?  I lost track whether your friend bought it new or used at Denooyer but w/ few L89’s built, it’s likely the same car.   ~ Pete .
