Does this code look familiar? I can't find anywhere to decipher it.

Looks like Mid to late 70's truck engine.

If it's YQ = 1969 Truck 396 310 H.P. 400 Trans. Look for block cast date.

I thought it was TYQ but I think you are right it looks to be YQ. Kind of hard to read.

Looks like T 1011 YQ to my eye. Casting date would help answer the question.

Exactly, Tonawanda Oct. 11 w/ YQ 2-digit suffix = pre ‘70 application.
YQ = ‘69 Truck 396/310 M40 as noted above, any VIN stamping/Year digit?

I don't know that vin stamping on the trucks was ever a concern ? I have a '69 truck 396 in my '70 Chevelle and I don't recall seeing a vin stamp.
