If it's YQ = 1969 Truck 396 310 H.P. 400 Trans. Look for block cast date.

I thought it was TYQ but I think you are right it looks to be YQ. Kind of hard to read.

Exactly, Tonawanda Oct. 11 w/ YQ 2-digit suffix = pre ‘70 application. YQ = ‘69 Truck 396/310 M40 as noted above, any VIN stamping/Year digit?  ~ Pete .
