Wayne,I just put g70-15 Goodyear steelguard radials on my 70 Monte. These were factory tires on 70-73 corvettes. They come in pinstripe whitewall and also lettered. $500 a tire. I bought them from rusty on this site.

----Yes,,, I was lucky enough to own an absolutely beautiful 71 LS6 coupe. Nevada Silver (if I have the name right). Fantastic driver! Bob Zimmerman will back me up on that as he bought it from me and then I had remorse and bought it back.....Bill S

Hi again Bill. I had converted mine to an LS7 ( not a big task with a 1971 LS6 ) and it had 3.55:1 gears in the back with a Rock Crusher. While wicked on the top end, I can’t help but think 3.70:1 gears might have been even more fun… . What was the rear axle ratio in your car?

----3.70's were in the hole, and it was, for me, the perfect ratio. So much torque to overcome that the gearset, 4.10's, wouldn't have made a big difference.....Bill S

Thank you Pete. I dated her in a blue 1971 LS6 coupe way back when, and the idea brought back incredibly fond memories for both of us. She learned how to row a four speed in that car

Thank you for digging that up… A long time ago in Cindy’s folks driveway. Bittersweet, but now most will know where I think I’m headed. W
