Default Waiting list for BAT?

My friend tried to post his car on BAT and they said there is a 10-12 week waiting list for non-dealers. Is that true?

We have a few cars heading to BaT shortly - no mention of timeline yet but typically 2-3 weeks is normal.

I sold a car there last fall. I think it took less than a month for it to go live. My success story, though, took almost a year before it went live.

Are they that backed up? Or short staffed? Seems like they may lose some business making folks wait so long. My buddy was told 6 weeks by BAT so he consigned his car to a dealer instead.

I wonder if the economy and tariffs are possible the cause? Maybe people are selling off things they don't "need", and BaT is not listing every at the same time as a favour to customers to limit competition o their own site?

I think it's by design. I watch the 3rd gen Camaros, and they only put up one or maybe 2 low mile cars per week, then when the listings end they put up another one. If there were a dozen available at the same time people would be less inclined to bid as much....When there's only one, folks tend to figure they better bid high because there may not be any better ones available.
