Default Truck or II 454

I thought that some of you might enjoy this, it is an old drag test of Dick Harrel's 454 El Camino and Nova for 1970. From April 1970 Car Craft. The Nova was originally a small block, not even an SS. Lots of history in here.

bbdon,
That information that you posted was GREAT! I really enjoy seeing "new" Dick Harrell info. Thank you! I read an interesting article on the first ZL1 test done by Dick Harrell and Fred Gibb it was photographed at Kansas City Raceway too.

bbdon;
Very nice article, I will have to look for that issue. Maybe I will build a similar car for a street driver!!

Really Cool! Does anyone have any info about Dick's spoiler on this or other cars? I would love to get a better look at this Nova from the rear.

I wish I did have more pictures of the Nova, if I ever do get any, I'll be sure to post them here.
One thing that I noticed today was the stripe on the side of the Nova. I think that I have read that article a half dozen times, and never noticed the stripe before. Here's an enlarged picture of the Nova, and also a Dick Harrell Vega (with a 400CI smallblock) that has the same style of stripe. There may be some striping on the Novas hood as well.
