Supercar Reunion Recap

For everyone who I met this weekend, I just want to thank you for your welcome and responses to "Little Hoss" and the other Fred Gibb cars and owners. I was thankful Tom and the other organizers were willing to recognize Fred Gibb for his past endeavors. Although the car was not fully sorted out, I am also thankful to Herb Fox for being willing to come to the track, to take our car down for the first run, dressed out as it was in 1968, for the first time on the track since I have owned her. Have to go for now, again, thank you everyone for your kind interest, and generous welcome.

Gary, since I was also racing I was not able to see any of the other cars run. I'd like to get a copy of your video as well. Let me know $$'s. Enjoyed talking w/you at the reunion, see you next year......Charlie

I will find out what it costs to copy and mail the video. I will do it at cost for anyone interested. It's a very nice video just don't expect professional quality.

Charlie: your 16 second run was so blisteringly fast that I'm not sure my video camera could capture it...haha.

Tom:
My video is about twenty minutes in length.
I taped about 5 minutes Friday in the parking lot showing cars arriving and unloading. Some real nice sounds here.
I taped about 5 minutes of the show, mostly cars driving in. Again some nice pics and sound here.
I taped about three minutes of cars leaving the show and going to the parking lot.
I did not tape any of the cruise.
I did tape the parade at the track and all the races, again approx five minutes in total.
I will absolutely make you a copy and send it to you for free in partial compensation for all the joy you enabled me to experience this past weekend.

I also made a video. The first shot is in front of Yenko Honda with Kim Mason checking out Brian's, Joe's, and Tom's cars. Brian did a kind of mini interview. I shot some tape of everyone arriving on Friday. On Sat I got some of the cars lining up inside the convention center. Later on I took some video of everyone enjoying the show. When we took the group shot I got everybody lining up, I got a shot of Chuck Hanson (of "Horse Power TV") giving Carl Stuber's Z-L1 a jump start with Chuck's Indy 500 Chevy Pace-Truck. I did not get any video of the drags because I was up in the tower announcing with a lost voice. Sorry about that guys!

Well, if anyone that made a video will send us one and let us know beforehand, I will add it to the previous Reunion videos and FINALLY(!) get those out to everyone. We got the originals back, so maybe we can get some tapes out before long.

Oh, and Andrew: you sounded EXCELLENT! I couldn't think of anyone better to have in the tower!

Why didn't you go? Chuck Hanson was there and since you were not he took a blood oath (like Omerta,but dedicating the rest of his life to F-Body preservation). He then burned all of his "ACES" material and all of his Chevelle "Protect-O-Plate" info. Just kidding! I think that Chuck was really impressed with Joe S.' Harrell Chevelle.
