Jeff, that is pretty neat. Yep Steve, its Kodiak Island, right where I grew up,and still have my other home there. Can you zoom in, maybe some of my boats are in the harbor. Kodiak is in the central Gulf of Alaska region, approximately 250 miles south of the city of Anchorage. Separated from the Mainland of Alaska by about 35 miles at its closest point. I know why Steve would recognize it too, but I better let him tell that.

very close to it. but not quite. within a hundred miles or so is whats called an area that most resembles the Moon on earth. Matter of fact those that want to say the Moon Missions were faked say they were done there.

Tough to tell from that shot but it's either the science center at the top of Haleakala on Maui or the observatory on Mauna Kea on Hawaii. Probably the latter given how much snow.
