Default New numbers matching SS book?

I've seen a few posts lately that refer to a new book coming out that will list US manufactured Chevy muscle car vin's and what equipment actually came on the car (specifically if it's a real SS or not). When is this book coming out and who is writing it? If this does come out, I think the true numbers matching cars could increase in value even more than the already sky high prices they are commanding.

Or it'll just make it easier for people who fake VINs to increase the value of knock-off clones.

That would be a very long book. I think that it will be a service instead. You will pay a fee, and get information on one car.

Sounds to me like you are refering to the Jim Mattison project. I don't think there will ever be a book published with VIN numbers and options of each car. However this info may become available as a pay service to owners or buyers of a Chevrolet musclercar in the future. Jim has such a servive available to Pontiac owners now (PHS) and it is very good information. Hope he is successful with the Chevy records as well.

Is this the white book Matt Murphy mentioned? Where on the web site is the book? I didn't see it.

Thanks-
