Relisted this assembly on Ebay. An after the auction "deal" was made on the first go-round, but the buyer backed out when the shipping was to expensive. (All of the common carriers he called wanted over 500.00 to ship. I was willing to crate and deliver the engine to a depot of his choice.) My reserve is just under what the number previous auction hit last time.

Thanks to all who were interested in this L-88.

I may be off a litte with the fuel sur-charges but they are really fair, key is to build a lightweight pallet dont strap it to some pallet from the hardware store.

This engine assembly is still available. Also have a complete drive train from a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6. It includes the complete engine from carb to pan less starter (currently has mini-starter), flywheel (less clutch and pressure plate), bell housing, muncie 4 speed, original hurst shifter, and linkage.

Was asking 7500.00 for L-88 but will entertain an offer from an interested party.

Make serious offer for LS6 Package.

Any one with questions on either package PM me for the details.

Thanks in advance.

This engine assembly is still available.

Relisted on Ebay with out a reserve.

L88 427 Short block assembly Ebay link.

Does anyone know who "yountto" is or "427-King" or Chuck Aleksinas is?

Can someone put me in contact with him?

Apparently he has more information about my engine assembly auction than I do or even the owner of the selling Chevrolet dealer where this engine was purchased from or even from the previous chevrolet dealer sponsered car owner who purchased this short block new. He also likes to comment directly to the bidding public directly in his own auctions and to bidders, including the gentileman who was the high bidder, of my auction.

427 L88 "yountto" comments link.

Not sure what the point is to all the harassment, the short block is what it is and it bought from chevrolet as a ZL-1 iron replacement. I surely do not what to deceive anyone or redirect someone to consider something better in an another auction and claiming foul in the process.

As far as I know, he's all of those. You could try emailing him through ebay's system.

This NEW NOS L88 short block plus another is still for sale! Original GM Part Number for this L88 partial assembly is 3970699. (see attached photo for details)

Part numbers in this crate assembly are as follows:

Chevrolet Crate Short Block P/N 3970699
14015445 4-Bolt Block Casting Date "D268"
3856223 Forged Steel Crankshaft Not to be confused with a "6223" crank
3928911 Original Mechanical Camshaft
3969804 Forged Connecting Rods
3947886 Forged Aluminum Pistons
Original Oil Pan, Timing Cover and Double Roller Timing Chain

I also have located a second NEW original L88 short block that has been partially assembled and painted.

I can also package a set of L88 3946074 Aluminum Cylinder Heads, Date coded 1-3-69 and 9-7-71, and a set of 16 NEW NOS 3959182, NOS Stamped Steel "H" Rocker Arm Assemblies with the NEW NOS L88 427.

I have spoken with selling dealer (and can pass on this information to interested pareties) and verified that both short block assemblies are in fact NEW L88 Crate assemblies. Original word of mouth information from previous owner, quoted name of selling dealer to be Sally Chevrolet, which turned out to be Sallee Chevrolet.

Anyone interested in any of these assemblies please PM me for details and phone number.
