Just add two hours to the time Belair. I admit I am a sniper as well, plus I have been out bid by other snipers in the last minutes. I'm not crying, its the nature of the beast, if I really wanted the item, I would bid as much as I wanted to spend to get it. By the way, good job Camarojoe on the Jay Kline and Grossman emblems. I bought a pair of Cragers just like those at the flea market about two months ago for $20 for the pair. Perfect chrome.

I snipe and have been sniped....I always remember to bid the highest amount I am willing to spend.ALWAYS.If you don't win,it's your own cheap a$$ to blame. The upside is you also don't get into a bidding war.You know what they say....If being cool were cheap....

Don't hate the players, hate the game. I have sniped and been sniped. Part of the game.

Steve's bang on. Sniping hast nothing to do with losing. What you are willing to pay does. If something is going for 95 bucks and you think you can get it for 101, you'll lose. If you put a bid in for 140 however, you'll have a better chance of winning and el cheapo guy will have to try and re-bid in time. Basically, bid the top dollar you're willing to pay for the item and if you don't get it, you won't feel bad about it. You only feel bad because you were probably willing to pay more than what the winning bid was for the item.

Bidding using one of these "Bots" isn't just about outbidding someone for a particular item, Sometimes you have multiple actions going off at the same time and it just isn't possible to bid on them all at once. I have found most times they save you money...I rarely if ever bid on an item until the very end, there are alot of sellers who have people to bid on their Item to see what the bidder is willing to pay (Even at the risk of losing a sale).

Also in the Olds post someone mentioned that it ended in the middle of the night and their would be alot of cranky people the next day, Not when you use a bot, place your bid and sleep like a baby!

There is a few sites that have free versions that you can try out. I use Bid Sniper by Amherst and good luck!

It wasn't Personal, but this post seems to be.I also bid on another of that sellers auctions,& I'm on WEBTV Dial up,just like you. You're throwing stones at me? You Sniped Here And Here And Here too You're past bid auctions have expired, but I'll bet there are more back there. And as Far as being a fellow sYc member, you seem to frequent here quite a lot,so where are your Donation Stars?

[/ QUOTE ] Listen up Dickie70...... My comment was not an attack on you personaly. We all know the ebay game and play it daily. I was just making conversation about the content of the Magazines and hoped you enjoyed them. You'll see why I mentioned that, when you get your mags. As for my sniper tactics on the past 3 auctions you researched for us, call it lucky bidding. Snipering with WebTv is like using a BB Gun in a Dog Fight. WebTv is real sloooooow lately and takes over 5 minutes sometimes just to sign in and complete an Ebay bid. As for your comment about being a sYc member, I don't think it's your job to police who is a "Paid Member" on this site. From what I understand, site donations are appreciated, but not manditory to share information here on sYc. If you think your donation and "Member Stars" make YOU a better man than others here, you should ask the sYc for a refund. Remember this site is all about sharing information and you have shown me long ago (Remember the 12A 70 L78 Buildsheet) that you don't like to share your Sacred Paper Files with others. Grow up and learn to share with others.

Slam a big bid at the beginning, the max that you are willing to pay, if someone else outbids you, so be it - just tell yourself that he overpaid

There is some level of satisfaction after you've won an item that you bid on during the first day of the auction, and then see all the sniper bids falling short

I think we should all list our EBAY names here so we will know who beat us out for all the widgets we bid on!
