Default 1971 Corvette

I have found a 71 82000 mile,t-top,LS-5, auto,a/c red with factory black leather. It is a 3 owner matching number, one repaint car.I can not find any body damage/repair and the interior is as it left St. Louis. It still has the factory hubcaps. All trim tag info matches what is there. It is not perfect but as some of you know (by the last car I asked about), I am very critical when looking at a car to buy. This may/may not qualify here as a muscle car but should be lots of fun. Any ideas on a value?
Thanks,

Thanks Mark,
I guess I had better get my tin can out and take him the $16,000 he wants for it.

Check the frame and birdcage...if OK, go for it!

Bill, if you can get that thing for 16K, I'd do it at that price. Ditto on the frame and birdcage check.

Mark and Steve,
I bought and picked up the car today. The battery was dead the other night so I took a new one with me. I installed it, hit the switch and it cranked right up.The brake fuild was low so we added some(turned out to be a leaking caliper) and drove it home. The car is better than I thought and drives as good as the one I had years ago. Looks like all I will need to do is repair the caliper(s) and replace the a/c compressor. Other than that all it needs is some seat time.
Thanks again for your input,
Bill
