Default GM front wheel well moulding-help!

It appears that GM has not pre-drilled holes to mount the front wheel well trim on their latest batch of mouldings. Has anyone else run into this and if so how did you line up the chrome to drill the holes?? Do I have to remove the inner fenders so I can mark the trim from behind before drilling? Thanks for any input

They have been doing that for years (or not doing it to be more precise) Use some clay and roll it into a small ball and put it over the holes in the fender lip, then place the trim on the car and press. The clay will either stick to the trim in the exact spot or leave a grease print where it touched. Then drill the holes where the clay mark was. Good Luck!
