While I haven't looked at a trim tag in a while, how can you tell its a repro? Is it the sharpness of the letters?

Kurt over at CRG can spot these things in an instant, as I am sure some others can. I have learned a few of the subtle differences on the fake trim tags, but NEVER post them on the internet, because I don't want the fakers to find out all the ways they are incorrect. That will only hasten the day they get them perfect. They are already improving. I dread the day they get it perfect. Cars like Norwood X77, with virtually no documentation, will then be called into question for sure.

The alternative is to get Congress to outlaw fake trim tags & swapping.
