Default sYc helping with hurricane relief

To help with hurricane relief, at the banquet Friday evening during SCR8, we had a aution of a few supercar related items, plus a basket set up for donations. This, coupled of with a donation from the sYc, totalled $2000.00. This afternoon my wife Diana and Rob's wife Anna went to Wal-Mart to buy supplies for shelters in Arkansas. Here is our trailer in front of Wal-Mart waiting to be loaded.

We had on sale at SCR8 a two hour video of SCR7. We have a few left, anyone who would like one, please send $12.00 (includes S&H) to the sYc and we will see that you get one. All proceeds will go to the sYc hurricane relief fund.

Each year the sYc commissions 150 diecast to be made for the SCR. Below is a picture of each of the last three. On top, a 1969 Berger COPO Chevelle from SCR8, below that is a 1969 Yenko Chevelle from SCR7, below that is a 1968 Baldwin-Motion Corvette from SCR6 and on the bottom a 1969 Nickey Camaro from SCR5.

The sYc has a very limited number of these three, and has decided this would be good time to put them up for sale. All $$ recieved from the sale of them will go towards the relief effort. Retail on each car is $100.00. but in an effort to generate $$ for hurricane victims, while supplies last, a set can be bought for a donation of $325.00 or more.

The wife just rolled in...they spent all afternoon and the better part of the evening loading up the trailer...they said they blew the minds of the workers at Wal-Mart with the sheer amount of stuff they were buying. In fact, they ended up backing the trailer up to the door, and other shoppers started donating stuff also.

Thanks for making this happen, folks...
