I think Charlie is right. these fans are rarer then I thought.
Today I got to the warehouse to look at clutches for a few people. I have eleven 5 blade fans from that time frame. 2 of the fans have 4 rivets like this one, 6 have have 5 rivets, and 3 others have 4 rivets in a box pattern with a square blade mount. Other than that they all look and measure the same. Does anyone know the reason? Some appear to be earlier, and some are later. I can tell this because of the original clutches that are mosty still attached. Does anyone remember the particular applications? Not all of these came from Chevy, so some have the larger spacing. Since I only had 2 of the rare ones, they especially would not be for sale. ![]() |

Looks like $325 would have been a heck of a deal. Charlie's auction ends in a little over an hour and it's at $840 now.

ahhhhhh the fan mystery...once there off the dated clutch I have not found a expert on them, unless there big hole for a Z or BB...no one has yet said the same thing twice...still one of the mysteries of the world.
