Marlin, I do understand your point of view.....and do not think that even G.M.painted every frame, fenderwell, control arm, etc the same shade/sheen every shift,day,week or model year.......I am suggesting when these misc cars are judged and scrutinized as we do here and at places like Carlisle....I dont think a restorer should be able to rationalize his way off coatings and color shades, by using the anything/anyday can happen justification.
I agree there is no perfection on this subject. I am only trying to help non professional restorers replicate the factory look & acheive comparible results, the likes of the professional shops. On the other hand if a person doesnt care about accuraccy, judging and what others may think........do as you want, do as you will.....its your car!!!!!!!
